The biggest challenge with this show was the short change over schedule. The scenic team had 48 hours to change from Forever Plaid to It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play. The scenic designer, Rob, had us keep the same shape of the set, but change the paint treatment. The only issue is was, with the platforms still in, we could not get our scissor lift in there to paint and the team was confided to 10ft ladders. We persevered and the end product was beautiful. The scumble affect was hard to achieve on sticks and ladders, but in the end everything always works out.

There was also a great deal of foam working and painting golden fixtures with mixes of yellows and oranges to achieve a more theatrical look.
